Today we welcome. Kristen Hatten, PhD Candidate in the Brian Lamb School of Communication. Kristen is interested in Communication & Chronic Illness. Her dissertation is focusing on implementing the Chronic Care Model with young adult diabetics and their healthcare providers in order to improve outcomes and participation. Kristen just received a top paper award for this year's convention of the National Communication Association for her paper titled "Humor in politeness theory and relational framing theory frameworks." In addition, Kristen has a solid background in Organizational Communication (in which she got her MA) and she enjoys working in that area. Congratulations, Kristin! Wonderful!
