Hi everyone,
If you are in English, Comm, Poli Sci, or Women Studies, here is an interesting call for papers.
RHETORIC & PUBLIC ADDRESS INTEREST GROUP
CALL FOR SUBMISSIONS
2014 Eastern Communication Association 105th Annual Convention
April 23 - 27, 2014
Providence, Rhode Island
Submission Deadline: October 15, 2013
"Communities of Dissent: A 'Lively Experiment' in Dialogue, Diversity & Discourses"
The Rhetoric & Public Address Interest Group invites submissions in preparation of the annual ECA Convention to be held from April 23 - 27, 2014. We are seeking proposals (representing an individual paper, panel, round-table discussion, or workshop session), for the 104th convention to be held at the Omni Providence Hotel located in downtown Pittsburgh. The deadline for electronic submissions is October 15, 2013. The convention theme, "Communities of Dissent: A 'Lively Experiment' in Dialogue, Diversity & Discourses," reflects many different aspects of the rhetorical tradition, both historically and contemporarily. We encourage submitters to consider papers, thematic panels, and other programs that explore related issues and questions, and how these topics and questions intersect with critical issues related to rhetoric and public address.
Submissions must be sent via e-mail, with attachment(s) in MS Word format, to the 2014 Program Planners:
Valerie Lynn Schrader, Penn State Schuylkill & Heather Ferrara, Cazenovia College: ECARhetoric@gmail.com
Competitive Papers
