If you submitted a study to the American Education Research Association (AERA) Annual Meeting, you will be notified on their acceptance on Nov 1. The conference will be taking place next April in San Francisco and its theme is "Education and Poverty." Some of AERA's divisions include administration, organization, and leadership, school context and communities, critical and post-foundationalist practices, sustainability perspectives, learning and motivation in social and cultural contexts. It's a very important conference. Grad students are encouraged to have it on their radar. What insights from the Liberal Arts could we bring to develop a study related to "Education and Poverty" ? Some of us will be missing this conference in CA but the next AERA meeting will be in Philadelphia.
